At Coastline Futures, we are committed to creating safe, inclusive and supportive environments where children and young people can aspire, achieve and advance. Safeguarding underpins everything we do, and our arrangements are reviewed regularly to remain current, effective and aligned with statutory guidance and best practice.

Prevent Duty Policy Cover
- Our Commitment – Safeguarding is central to what we do, in line with our PREVENT Duty under the Counter-Terrorism and Security Act 2015.
- What is PREVENT? – A safeguarding duty (not a criminal process) that protects people from being drawn into radicalisation through early support.
- Our Approach – Promoting respect, inclusion, online safety, belonging and emotional wellbeing.
- Training – Staff and volunteers are trained to recognise risks and report concerns.
- Reporting Concerns – Concerns go to our Designated Safeguarding Lead (Mrs Brooke Wager) or Deputy DSL (Mrs Karen Martin), with access to the voluntary, confidential Channel Programme where needed.
